How many people know that God loves them but yet they don't feel loved by God?
I'll be the first to admit that I have felt that way many times in my walk with Christ.
What causes us to believe this?
1. We believe the devil's lies about us.
1 Peter 5:8 exhorts us to be sober and vigilant because satan goes around like a roaring lion seking whom he may devour.
2. We have an unworthy feeling about ourselves.
1 Peter 2:24 said that Jesus Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness- by Who's stripes we were healed.
We can claim the supernatural life that is ours when we surrender our whole lives to Him. If we confess our doubts and fears and ask Him to take them and then....(and here's the important part), don't pick them back up, we can then open our hearts to Feel His love because we have released the guilt and shame.
Ephesians 3:20 says,"Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.
WOW! Isn't that exciting? Not only can we live in His love but He has sent the power, which is the Holy Spirit, to help us. Praise God our Father.

hmmm...i'm not an expert but i do know that no matter what, God loves you and you are right...God didn't make you to be this way. Satan has found a weakness in you and that is his way of keeping you from God. You said yourself you are a good Christian and trust God in everything so you can trust that He will help you overcome this. Someone put the issue of homosexuality in perspective for me once...it's no different than any other sin that someone struggles to overcome. for instance, i come from a long line of worriers...the Bible tells us it's a sin to worry...i have to keep on my toes and stay prayed up to keep from falling into a pattern of worrying and fretting all the time. i know there are books that can help you too...written by people that have overcome the lie of homosexuality. try http://www.afa.net/publications/ or the moody website for starters. the bottom line is...you are no worse than the rest of us Christians who struggle with other sins...and Jesus took this sin to the cross for you...surrender it to Him and His grace and mercy will get you past this and God always has and always will love you. God Bless you and i hope we hear from you again. i'll be praying for you.
Hi xmarshmallowx,
Thank you for checking out my sight. I think you have shown more spiritual maturity than you give yourself credit for. You have pretty much answered your own question when you ask, "Do I think this is sinning?", and that you feel it is wrong. This, I believe, is the Holy Spirit convicting you of something that is contrary to Jesus' teaching. We serve a patient and merciful God. I reckon it to forming a habit. Every time you have wrong feelings, thank the Holy Spirit for the reminder, confess your focus on self and what you might think you need, start again and leave it in His ever capable hands. I think that in time you will find new and better patterns of thought occuring. It helps me to get into His word when I'd rather focus on my worldly desires. God bless you.
